Downtown Seattle from Kerry Park

Downtown Seattle from Kerry Park

July 12, 2004 | Seattle

This is the typical Seattle shot from Kerry Park, perched on the side of Queen Anne hill. What I hear from so many people that have never been to Seattle before is that they think the Space Needle is right downtown, but in fact it's a little ways off. The needle is actually part of an area of town called Seattle Center. The ferris wheel (the colorful circular object), and Paul Allen's Experience Music Project can be seen near the base of the building as well. On a clear day you can see Mount Rainier in the distance and that is quite a sight. It was a little too late at night to capture the mountain in this shot.
