Mount Baker Trail

Mount Baker Trail

September 24, 2005 | Mount Baker

This photo was taken on a beautiful hike near Mount Baker in northern Washington. This trail, Ptarmigan Ridge Trail #682.1, leads to Coleman Pinnacle, at an elevation of 6100 ft. At Coleman pinnacle you get a fantastic view of Mt Baker, Mt Shuksan, and a collection of other mountains within the Cascade range. This portion of the trail shown in the picture is along the side of Table Mountain early in the hike. This hill side is a volcanic crater and was very colorful with the foilage turning color for fall. The trail follows this hillside and goes beyond the hill on the lefthand side and continues farther left to Coleman Pinnacle. It was a great hike, and on a clear day there is no better hiking.
