A Path Through the Redwoods

A Path Through the Redwoods

August 28, 2006 | Redwood National Park

There are hundreds of different paths through the redwood groves at Redwoods National and state parks. This is a shot of a cluster of redwood trees that stood right on the path.

This particular grove was probably second or third generation of growth - having been cut down at least once for logging before they became protected under California state law. It was later on that the National Parks came and bought much of the remaining groves for continued protection.
