An Eagle on Watch

I've been to this spot a few times to swim and I've seen the family of eagles watch and hunt for fish on numerous occasions. This weekend while we were visiting I actually had my camera and low and behold there was an eagle waiting for us.

I was hoping that he would swoop down and go for a fish, but no such luck for the 20 minutes we watched him. He simply just stood guard and watched us watching him.

This family of eagles lives just about a hundred feet from my in laws' house. It's been fun to watch them raise their young and interact with the many birds on this island in Lake Washington.
