Glacier by Moonlight

So I woke up a bit too early to catch the sunrise and instead was greeted by this scene of the moon still casting its glow upon Glacier National Park. Swiftcurrent Lake, in the foreground, was nice and calm and not a soul was up yet.

In the far distance, you can see Mount Gould cast in a warm pre-dawn glow. Here you will find a few of the last remaining glaciers at Glacier National Park. It's sad to know that these glaciers will be gone within my lifetime.

Glacier is such an amazing place, with unique geological structures - the results of two plates meeting. When these two plates met, one was forced on top of another, which resulted in older rock being placed on top of newer rock - a very unique geological occurrence.
