Sea Stars in Sea Weed

Sea Stars in Sea Weed

August 27, 2007 | Olympic National Park

These Ochre Sea Stars are the renegades of the tide pools. They attack other tide pool animals by crawling over them and sucking the creature out of their hiding place. They're pretty successful at it too. I used to think they were so harmless too!
