Sunrise at Mount Shuksan

On a fairly chilly morning, my wife and I woke up early and drove to Picture Lake in the Mount Baker National Forest. We were originally hoping to go to the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail Head, but the road was closed.

The mountain in the distance is Mount Shuksan, a very iconic mountain in the Cascades. This spot is a favorite of photographers and we definitely were not alone as at least ten others were snapping away with us.
